Nothing is much likely to bring you down and to make you turn your eyes from your goal than this. Because it has to do with the way you see things, the way you think. When these thoughts begin to lead your way of thinking, you’re so much more disposed to give up or lay low and relax in a negative way. Satan wants nothing else but to bring in your mind this thought of discouragement and make you think that you’ll never reach there, you’re never going to achieve that goal you had in mind. Maybe it was a better job, maybe it was a new opportunity for you to start a business or to go to a college you’ve always wanted to.
It doesn’t matter where you are now, whether you’re on the Mediterranean Seashore or you’re in a small town where no one seems to know anything about your dreams, you must go on, you have to keep your eyes and mind open to what God wants to do with you. This is not about you, remember? God gave you that dream because he wants you to be a blessing for those around you, he wants to be proud of you and he will be, because you can reach that goal, you can raise that banner, you can get that job, you can become what you’ve always wanted to become! It’s easy to sit back and forget your dream; give up racing for your goal! Most off the people do that. Because fighting for your dream is not something most of peoples find easy to do. It requires hard work, maybe working a job that you don’t like or maybe serving behind the scenes where no one seems to see what your value is. But that is the lesson I believe God wants us to learn today,” He that is faithful in that which is least, is faithful also in much…” (Luke 16.10, 21st CKJV). Don’t expect to receive a great job in a great business if you were not a good employee so far. Be faithful where you are now, give your best at this job you have now and hope for the best, God will not disappoint you! Another thing you may confront with is a certain crisis. Maybe some financial transition, (and the reason I call it financial transition is because when you say financial transition instead of unemployed you actually believe that God is providing for you even if at that moment you don’t seem to see that), God is always faithful, don’t ever forget that. Maybe one reason you feel like your dream is not on the right way is because God is testing you, or is building your character, making you stronger. I had times in my life when I prayed, “Father, why does this have to happen now?” And the only answer I could hear in my head was, “I’m preparing you for what I want to do with you”. Don’t ever let negative thought run your mind, what God planned, is as good as done! |
